Kadant and Saigon Paper Forge Ahead with Major Recycling Equipment Order 

VITRY-LE-FRANÇOIS, France –November 21, 2007--Kadant Lamort SAS, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE:KAI), is currently in production of  three stock preparation systems from the Saigon Paper Corporation for installation in its mill in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As previously announced, the systems include a 150 ton per day deinking system to produce tissue and white top liner, a 450 ton per day OCC system to produce linerboard and fluting, and a 200 ton per day OCC and mixed waste system for the middle layer of a duplex board machine. The Kadant supply features the company’s latest stock preparation technologies including the ScreenONE™ screening system, FiberNET™ pressure screen, Vorto rotor and Maximizer™ bedplate. The systems are scheduled for delivery in mid-2008.
